The energy shifts here as you enter the Shark Lagoon, home to sleek Bamboo Sharks and our famous Blackchin Guitarfish. Spend a few minutes at the large viewing panes to watch the social dynamics between the sharks as they patrol the sandy floor and rocky outcrops.

Prepare to be enchanted as Native Thornback, Blonde, and Painted Rays glide gracefully through the water. The rays often 'wave' their wings against the glass, making for a very personal encounter. The lighting here is softer, reflecting the coastal bays they call home.

It’s fascinating to watch the males brooding their babies in specialized pouches. This zone is a sensory masterpiece where multi-colored spotlights emphasize the ethereal dance of translucent jellyfish. The circular 'kreisel' tanks create the perfect current for them to drift. Walk through the UK’s only 360° underwater tunnel for a perspective like no other. Black Tip Reef sharks glide directly over your head, but the undisputed star is Mo, the 20-stone Giant Green Sea Turtle. Stand still for a few minutes; the rays and sharks have a mesmerizing rhythm, and Mo often makes a slow, majestic pass right above the glass.
